Voyageur

Intro

The Voyageur knife takes its name from the heroic explorers of the 18th and 19th centuries who traded with the indigenous people of North America. The Voyageurs were known for their long expeditions, exploring lakes and rivers by canoe, often portaging over long distances. These hardy people needed a portable yet robust knife by their side. The Voyageur knife is a modern rendition of the French trade knife that was widely used then. It has a 4mm thick 5.5-inch saber ground blade with a secondary convex grind that is great at slicing but also robust enough for other tasks. The sharp 90-degree spine is essential to scrape tinder or strike a ferro rod. The contoured ergonomic handles are very comfortable and can be used in various grips, including the hammer, pinch, reverse, or chest lever grip. This is a great jack of all trades that won’t let you down on your adventures.
