Due to the nature of the hand-finishing process, each Kitsune T knife exhibits subtle variations in its blade finish and grind, contributing to the unique character of every piece.
The Kitsune T is a meticulously crafted everyday carry (EDC) knife, designed for optimal performance and portability. It features a 3.5-inch drop point blade, constructed from high-quality 0.15-inch-thick Japanese SK85 steel. The blade undergoes a precise heat-treatment process, including double tempering, to achieve a Rockwell hardness of 56-58. This ensures exceptional durability, flexibility, and ease of resharpening.
With an overall length of 7.85 inches, the Kitsune T embodies agility, a characteristic reflected in its name, which translates to "fox" in Japanese. This designation highlights its compact design and discreet carry potential, while still offering the functional capabilities of a small to medium-sized knife.
Further enhancing its practical attributes, the blade features an acid-stone-washed finish. The knife weighs approximately 4.3 ounces and 5.9 ounces when accompanied by its sheath.
The Kitsune T was expertly designed by Jeremy Boulder Valentine, the owner and operator of Valavian Edge Craft LLC. Each knife is meticulously CNC machined and hand-finished by Work Tuff Gear in Taiwan, ensuring superior quality and craftsmanship.
