Intro
 
The Bear Claw knife is a proud sibling of the Kodiak knife, but it has a few distinct features that set it apart. It incorporates a finger choil and a small groove near the blade's base, allowing greater control and precision during fine tasks. Additionally, the Bear Claw has a partial false edge, meaning that a portion of the spine is sharpened, providing added versatility.
With a blade length of nearly 10 inches, the Bear Claw is designed to be a versatile tool capable of handling large and smaller tasks. Its size makes it suitable for chopping and batoning, which are everyday outdoor activities that require cutting through wood or splitting logs. Moreover, the Bear Claw's sharp 90-degree spine is ideal for striking a ferro rod, a popular method for starting fires outdoors. This feature, combined with its ability to prepare feather sticks (thin shavings of wood used as tinder), makes the Bear Claw well-suited for fire-starting purposes.
The knife's handle is made of ergonomic G10 material, which provides a comfortable grip for chopping activities. Additionally, the handle can be used in a forward position to shift the knife's balance point, resulting in a more neutral and versatile handling experience.
