Having tried various blade systems over the years, the Amish Jon was designed for those of you, like myself, who enjoy the simplicity of a one-tool option for camp tasks. I wanted a knife to do it all...chop, baton, notch, and carve. More than that, I wanted a light and nimble knife to wield and control easily for a pleasurable experience.
Using the Amish Jon's chop is exceptionally comfortable, with an outstanding balance and feel. Grabbing at the bottom of the handle allows you to chop with power while providing you with an ample and secure grip.
This is a competent and versatile option for those looking for a do-all knife.
