Kitsune S (SK85)-Retro Washed-Sculpted Black with Red liner grip
Due to the nature of the hand-finishing process, each Kitsune S knife exhibits subtle variations in its blade finish and grind, contributing to the unique character of every piece.
The Kitsune S is a compact Everyday Carry (EDC) knife, featuring a 3.5-inch drop point blade crafted from 0.15-inch thick Japanese SK85 steel. The blade undergoes a meticulous heat-treatment process, including a double tempering, to achieve a Rockwell hardness of 56-58, ensuring exceptional durability, flexibility, and ease of resharpening.
With an overall length of 7.85 inches, the Kitsune S embodies the agility suggested by its name, which translates to "fox" in Japanese. This design philosophy highlights its compact form, making it easily concealable while retaining the functional capabilities of a small to medium-sized knife. The blade is finished with an acid stonewash.
The knife weighs approximately 4.4 ounces, increasing to 6.1 ounces with its sheath. The Kitsune S was designed by Jeremy Boulder Valentine, owner and operator of Valavian Edge Craft LLC, and is CNC machined and hand-finished in Taiwan.
