About the event
New shipping rules include a recent U.S. change on August 29, 2025, suspending the de minimis exemption, meaning duties and taxes apply to all imports. Other key changes are EU maritime decarbonization rules like Fuel EU Maritime and EU ETS, and global trends toward greater digitization with electronic tracking and e-documentation. New cybersecurity measures are also required for shipping, and international updates address carbon emissions, safety, and security.
