The knife comes with a Gen 1 G10 handle and a thinner grip. 
 
The Bunun tribe is one of the indigenous tribes in Taiwan.  They live on both sides of the Central Mountain Range.  In the early days, this alpine ethnic group settled in the alpine zones 1,000 meters above sea level.
Throughout history, the Bunun tribe has had the most significant population movement in migration among all the indigenous tribes in Taiwan.
The Bunun legend is closely related to nature and animals.  The Hundred-pace snake had lived peacefully among the Bunun tribe and protected them.  Legend has it that the snake was originally a Bunun child who had died and was reincarnated into a snake.  Therefore, it is said that the skillful Bunun hunters never hunted or ate snakes.  In the Bunun language, the name for the Hundred-pace snake is “Kaviaz,” which means “friend."
 
Kaviaz is a large-size hunting knife featuring a 10" long clip point blade .  The knife is made of 0.23" thick Japanese SK85 steel.  The total length of the knife is 16.8" long.  The blade is being carefully heat-treated to 56-58 with a double tempering process for maximum durability and flexibility, making it easier to resharpen.  
 
-The handle is made of 3D machined G10 material and is removable for cleaning or replacement.
-The handle is rounded for a more comfortable grip and will not cause any hot spots.
-Starting the fire with a Ferro rod on the 90-degree spine will be much more efficient in the field
-Taco Kydex sheath with tek lok
The knife weighs around 20.6 oz; 26.8 oz with sheath.

    You may return the unused item in its original packaging within 14 days.  The buyers will prepay shipping and handling back to us.  Refunds will be issued by the same form of payment we received.

  • Warranty

    Thank you for supporting Work Tuff Gear! We warranty each Work Tuff Gear knife against defects in material and workmanship for six months after purchase. We will repair or replace it with a new Work Tuff Gear knife (shipping fees and associated costs not included).  Of course, Work Tuff Gear does not warranty its products against normal wear or misuse. Work Tuff Gear knives are not intended to be used as hammers, chisels, pry bars, or screwdrivers. Although we thoroughly test our knives, our warranty does not cover damage due to impacts with rocks, bricks, metals, or other high-hardness objects.  If your knife was damaged due to misuse, our repair department can analyze and repair it for a reasonable fee (shipping fees and associated costs not included).  The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, resharpening, reprofiling, damage caused by misuse, lack of regular maintenance, or disassembly.  Remember, anything can break or fail if subject to sufficient abuse. So please do not misuse this product.
