Intro
A clip-point bowie is straight-up Americana — built to work, not pose. The inspiration for the V44C traces back to the Marine Raider bowies of WWII, commonly known as the V44. Lt. Colonel Carlson famously equipped members of the 2nd Raider Battalion with these blades, and they saw real action in the jungles of the South Pacific.
The V44C carries that bloodline — but this time in a compact EDC format. At approximately 8.6" overall with a cutting edge right around 4", it keeps the attitude of the original while scaling it into something you’ll actually carry every day. Same heritage, tighter footprint.
The lines still nod to the historic Raider bowie, but the ergonomics and balance have been refined for modern use. It features a wide fuller inspired by the double fuller of the original V44, keeping that unmistakable Marine fighting knife vibe — just distilled into a faster, more controllable platform.
This knife is built to handle real tasks. Bushcraft. Camp chores. Daily utility. It’s aggressive without being oversized, capable without being cumbersome. Think less “jungle war blade,” more “everyday operator with legacy DNA.”
Compact. Purpose-driven. No fluff.
This is the Marine Reaper Bowie — the V44C. Semper Fi.
